Let me start with LeGarrette Blount (because that's what my boss wanted me to do anyway), but I am not going to write a huge feature on him because he simply does not deserve it. Everyone knows how the story goes, so I am going to get right to my point. It's not how you act; it's how you REACT. You can get away with pushing and shoving. But when you REACT, that's usually what causes the problem. Does Blount deserve to be suspended for the entire year? Yes. Period. Oregon could have not gotten off to a worse start. Bye bye NFL first round projection, and good-bye for any "hope" to win the Pac 10 Conference. Okay enough Blount talk or we will all be too high to read the rest of this column. Some NOTES to the irrationals:
To "YOU" Thinking-Way-Too-Outside-The-Box-Man: Lane Kiffin is going to damage in years to come so get over it. The dynasty started this weekend as the Tennessee Volunteers thrashed the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky 63-7. He's the new Urban Meyer of the SEC. He does care. He will light up the scoreboards, while his father (Monte Kiffin) lights players up on the defensive side. I love the Vols chances in the next decade. So to the myopic fans out there that think Kiffin is a "Full Of Himself" Guy, he's not ... I promise. He just wants to STICK IT. Quit being delusional. The Kiffins are going to route teams.
