Hey all, hockey playoffs are finally here. Tonight, the veteran Detroit Red Wings take on the up-and-coming Phoenix Coyotes. The game features the Cinderella story of Phoenix against the perennial powers in Detroit. Surely, Phoenix could have asked for a better draw as the most surprising team of the season, who many picked to finish last in the West. Detroit enters the game on fire, having the best record since the Olympic break, and stars Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg have finally hit stride. This evenings match-up promises to be a keeper. Can Detroit put the puck pass Phoenix stud, Ilya Bryzgalov? Will Phoenix stop this high-powered attack offered by the men with the winged-wheel? It will surely be an interesting and low-scoring battle, so if you're looking for high-powered offense, then you've come to the wrong place because three goals will likely win the game. But this game will showcase coaching battles between Detroit's Babcock and Phoenix's Tippett. Watch for the careful strategies and trap maneuvers from both defenses. All in all, I think Phoenix will come out strong, but the Wings will take it 3-1. |
