ATLANTA G.A. -- Game 3 of the Hawks-Cavs series was nonetheless, another "is this team that good?...or "is the East just that bad" moments. Cleveland wiped Atlanta right off the court last night in a 97-82 cakewalk. At this point, Cleveland has yet to disappoint in any category. Lebron James had yet another one of those amazing moments scoring 47 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, and dishing out eight assist. "Sometimes people take it for granted, but he played a great game tonight. He had 12 rebounds and almost had another triple-double. Amazing," said Cavs Center, Zydrunas Ilguaskas to ESPN's John Hollinger after dismantling Atlanta. Coming into the game, the Hawks were banged up and hurting. Marvin Williams, Al Hoford, and Joe Johnson were all on the "game time decision list," but all played in Game 3. However, the three combined for just 31 points and 21 of those came from Johnson. Once again, Mike Woodson's team struggled from the "land of plenty," shooting just 38 percent beyond the arc. Another disappointment- the Hawks shot a meager 68 percent from the charity strike. The Cavs have been dominating just about every category in this series as they did in the first round when they dust mopped the Detroit Pistons off the floor. Cleveland outrebounded Atlanta 46-23, leading "King" James to his seventh consecutive win in the playoffs by double-digits. The Cleveland Cavaliers will go for the sweep tomorrow night in the ATL. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on TNT. |
