Atlanta Hawks vs Cleveland Cavaliers >> A Race to The Finish
Written by Jamie McCracken - May 05, 2009

CLEVELAND O.H. -- After having eight days off Lebron James (2009 MVP) and the Cleveland Cavaliers will capture the audiences' attention when they take on the fourth seeded Atlanta Hawks.

Atlanta just completed the most stale, uninteresting seven-game playoff series in the history of the NBA. The average margin of victory was over 18 points, that's enough said if you disagree. There is no question that this Cleveland team will play at a much higher level than Dwayne Wade and the youthful Miami Heat. Next on Mike Woodson's list: A team that went 41-2 at home in the regular season, a team that swept the Detorit Pistons right out of the building with a "swiffer" mop, not to mention the Cavs have the newly crowned league MVP, Lebron James who is a "phenom."

You can consider the Hawks virgins at this point. This will be the Hawks first time in the second round in a decade. "This is the part of the season that we live for, and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity." "You never know when you're going to get back to this point. We really want to try to cherish this and try to take advantage of it."
Though the Hawks went 1-3 this season against the Cavs, they did end Cleveland's 11-game win streak five months ago at Phillips Arena," Joe Johnson told the AP on Tuesday. Johnson averaged 17 points and five rebounds in the Miami series.

Though the Hawks went 1-for-3 against the Cavs this season, they did end the Cavs 11-game win streak five months ago in Phillips Arena.

The game will tipoff tonight at Quicken Loans Arena at 8 p.m. ET.
