Pittsburgh Penguins vs Washington Capitals >> Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better

WASHINGTON D.C. -- Sidney Crosby may be polarizing, but Alexander "The Great" Ovechkin showed why he is the most prolific player in the game Monday night.

The Caps now lead 2-0 in the best-of-seven series verse the Pens thanks to three Ovechkin goals on 12 shots on goal. Meanwhile, "Sid The Kid" shot five shots and capitalized on three of them in Pittsburgh's 4-3 loss in Washington. The Pens had 36 shots on goal , but Crosby was the lone scorer in a night where nothing was stopping the phenomenal Ovechkin.

On a night that the Caps went 0-for-4 on power plays, it seemed as if the statistic was a ghost.

Two stats that did matter were giveaways and faceoffs. Washington won 38 of the 61 faceoffs along with six takeaways to Pittsburgh's four. Not to mention, the Caps were amore physical team (they have been all year) laying 27 hits on the Pens.

The Caps go up 2-0 in the series and Game 3 will be played in "the Steel City" of Pittsburgh on Wednesday night. The puck will drop at 7 p.m. ET.
