HOUSTON, T.X. -- The Astros (6-10) could not get a hit verse the Dodgers' (11-5) ace, Chad Billingsley. A dominating performace by Billinglsey, who had five strikeouts in seven inning allowing just three hits, gave L.A. a win 2-0.

Billingsley (4-0) has won his first four starts of the season and Joe Torre was extremely pleased."How about that game the kid pitched?" Dodgers manager Joe Torre asked. "It was something" (AP).

Dodgers' slugger, Manny Ramirez had a RBI single in the first inning and Casey Blake scored L.A.'s second run with a double in the seventh knocking in Matt Kemp to make it 2-0. Two runs and eight hits were all the Dodgers (11-5) need to defeat the Astros (6-10).

Johnathan Broxton got his fifth save of the young season for L.A.

Wandy Rodriguez threw six decent innings, allowing just five hits and one run. But the Astros, once again, struggled to produce any offense.

Houston will stay at home as they start up another short, thee-game series versus the Milwaukee Brewers over the weekend. Meanwhile, the Dodgers got on a plane last night to make a trip to Denver. L.A. will play a three-game series over the weekend verse the bottom of the barrel in the NL West, Colorado (5-9).
