Chicago Cubs vs Houston Astros >> Go-Ahead Rodriguez

LOS ANGELES, C.A. -- Roy Oswalt was trying to avoid a 0-3 start Wednesday night. Something he has only done one other time in his eight year career. Oswalt (0-2) may have not got the win, but the Houston Astros battled back from a 4-2 deficit in the sixth to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in a tight 6-5 win.

Ivan Rodriguez scored the go-ahead-run after a wild pitch to lead the Astros (6-9) to their second consecutive win over the streaking Dodgers (10-5).

Lance Berkman tied the game in bottom of the sixth inning with a solo-home run off Ronald Belisario to make it 4-4. The momentum shifted quickly.

Chris Sampson (1-0) gave up a run in two innings pitched for his first win of the year. Houston's closer LaTroy Hawkins threw a near perfect ninth inning. Hawkins was replacing Jose Valverde, who has a leg injury, and got his second save of the season.

Joe Torre's L.A. team was lifted by a James Loney double deep to left that scored Andre Ethier and gave the Dodgers a 5-4 lead. But soon thereafter, Ivan Rodriguez did what he has done all season for the Stros. Rodriguez is now batting .283 for the season with one home run and six runs batted in.

Houston will try to sweep the Dodgers tonight at Minute Maid park. The Dodgers will send their ace, Chad Billingsley to the mound, while Houston will send the lefty, Wandy Rodriguez.

First pitch wil; be thrown out at 8:05 p.m. ET.
