The Los Angeles Lakers started writing the script after Sunday's first round playoff win over the eighth-seeded Utah Jazz 113-100. However, Phil Jackson was not too pleased with his team's defense after getting outscored in the second half."It wasn't a coach's delight, that's for sure," Jackson told the AP after the game.

Jerry Sloans team once again, played no defense giving up 62 points in the first 24 minutes. Kobe Bryant, Trevor Ariza, and Pau Gasol combined for a total of 65 points. Ariza's 21 was a career high in the post season. While Kobe Bryant's 24 points (9-for-17) helped him pass Magic Johnson for third place on the Lakers' all-time postseason scoring list (behind Jerry West and Kareem-Abdul Jabbar).

Meanwhile the Jazz were led by Carlos Boozer, who is still trying to recover from an injury after missing 75 percent of the season, scoring 27 points yesterday in the Utah loss. Deron Williams also had a solid game scoring 16 points and dishing out 17 dimes, a career playoff-high.

The story of the game, 3-point shooting percentage. Utah went 3-14 good for 23 percent while L.A. shot a blistering 46 percent from behind the arc going 7-15.
