Clayton Krenshaw is is the probable starter tonight for the red hot Los Angeles Dodgers (5-3). The Dodgers will play their second game of a four-game series verse the struggling San Francisco Giants (2-5) tonight at Dodgers Stadium. The Dodgers have won three in a row including their 7-1 victory over the Giants on Monday, while San Fran has struggled dropping four straight. It also should be noted that the Giants are still looking for their first road win (0-4). L.A. has been surging threw their schedule by putting up gaudy hitting numbers. After hitting for the cycle Monday afternoon (first time a Dodger has done that in 40 years- Wes Parker), Orlando Hudson will look to fire up Dodgers Stadium once again. Hudson is batting .389 with a .697 slugging percentage. Hudson has already batted in five runs for the season including two home runs. Matt Cain (1-0, 1.29) will be on the pitchers' mound for the Giants tonight. Cain is a career 0-6 against the Dodgers with a 4.06 ERA in the 11 starts. If the Giants want to win this pitchers duel, they will need some help from their batting lineup. The Giants (2-5) have scored just 27 runs this season. That number is the second least amount of runs in the majors next to the Houston Astros who have scored just 16. The first pitch will be thrown out at 10:10 p.m. ET. |
