The Nashville Predators (38-31-8), who are currently eighth in the Western Conference, will ice skate with the fourth place, Chicago Blackhawks (41-24-11) on Friday night. The puck will drop at 7:30 p.m. in Chicago. The Blackhawks were just 6-9 in the month of March, but got their April off to a hot start with a 3-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues on April Fool's Day. With just six games left on the enduring NHL season, the Blackhawks will play three of their last six on the road. Chicago has not played Nashville since February where they lost 3-5. If the Blackhawks want to win this matchup tomorrow night, they will need pass the puck efficiently because the Predators tend to a "super" defense at times. Obviously the Blackhawks also need production from Martin Havalt and Patrick Kane who lead the team in points. Meanwhile, the Predators need to just stay in the playoff race. Right now, Nashville (38-31-8) sits as the eighth seed in the Western Conference. Just one game behind them are the St Louis Blues (37-31-9). The Predators will need a strong game from their goalie, Pekka Rinne. Rinne is a career 3-1 against the Blackhawks, allowing just eight goals in four games in front of the net. With a lot on the line, this Central Division rivalry should be a spectacular ice hockey game. |
