While the NBA's million dollar question remains to be answered, the rest of the basketball world is starting to get involved in the speculation.

After the Cleveland Cavaliers were eliminated from the playoffs, the question has come to the forefront. Where will LeBron James be playing next season? We know the possible options. He can sign a contract extension with the Cavaliers, enabling him to stay in his home city and sign the most lucrative deal available (6 years, 125 million).

Or, he can choose to play elsewhere in pursuit of his first NBA title, while finding a new city to crown him King. There are several NBA franchises that have the available cap space to sign James to a max deal (5 years, 95 million). The teams include the New York Knicks, New Jersey Nets, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Clippers, Washington Wizards, and Miami Heat.

So we know all this. He has multiple options of where he can play. There's even a chance of him playing elsewhere, such as Dallas or Phoenix after a sign-and-trade deal. He could sign his extension with Cleveland with all intentions of being traded to, say, Phoenix for Amar'e Stoudemire, other players to match his contract, and future first round picks for the Cavaliers.

And there are even other rumors that a European team such as Greek's Olympiakos will offer James the most lucrative contract in history, upwards of $200 million. I think it's pretty safe to say, though, that LeBron is not leaving the NBA.

Now, the recruitment of Lebron James is already starting to take some interesting twists and turns. There are certainly more to come, but here's the most intriguing rumor out there that could have an impact on James' free agency:

There are multiple reports that link the free agent James to John Calipari, the current coach of Kentucky men's NCAA basketball. The reports suggest that a third party is working on a deal with an NBA team that would send James the max deal offer, while also making a monster contract offer to Calipari, somewhere in the area of 40 million for 5 years.

This supposed "third party" deal-maker is the one and only; the man, the myth, the legend: World Wide Wes.

World Wide Wes is the nickname of basketball power broken William Wesley. Wesley is simply a man in the know. He's friends with many of the most powerful men in sports, especially the NBA. He's not an attorney or an agent, but he's simply a "broker", and someone that befriends star players and and coaches and sort of gets to linking people that he believes could benefit one another in the industry.

World Wide Wes has no official title in the NBA or any sport, but he's a big name that all the stars know about, if they're not already friends with him. Wesley is said to have been a major factor in attracting several free agents to sign with teams. For example, sources claim that he does things like call up an NBA player, take him out for a lunch and on the way sets him up with a call to an executive of an NBA team or current player on the team.

All signs point to Wesley, who is a friend of both James and Calipari, as the man who can set the two men up as teammates and get an NBA team to sign the two in an enticing package.

That supposed NBA team is the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls, of course, are one of the teams that have the available cap space to sign a max deal. They also have the most talented core group of players of any of James' potential suitors. And, their young superstar point guard, Derrick Rose, is a former Calipari player that played for a year under the coach at Memphis.

So, LeBron and Calipari to Chicago, to play with Rose?

These are all rumors. There's no official reports of things that Wesley has said or teams that he has spoken to. And there won't be. The man is an insider for a reason, and he's not going to leak information for the media to write about and expose.

Instead, any dealings are interior. We have no idea what's going on. All we know is that rumors exist about a LeBron/Calipari packaged deal to the NBA, and from there we can gauge how the speculated parties react to the news.

Here are the reactions to the supposed Bron/Cal packaged deal:

John Calipari, via Twitter, on Friday: "I've said many times that I've got the best job in the country. Still the speculation runs wild and I can't stop that. I want to address this with the Big Blue Nation one last time, I will be coaching at Kentucky next year. Now let's finish what we started!"

John Calipari, via a quick video interview on the road: "I love my job [. . .] I've worked 20 years to get a job like Kentucky, and I will be the coach at Kentucky."

Chicago Bulls: No response. They are not responding to the rumors. ESPN writes, "A source with direct knowledge of the Chicago Bulls' front office plans said there has been no discussion of bringing Kentucky coach John Calipari in with James as part of a package deal."

LeBron James: No response, as of yet.

William Wesley: He's an insider, and a man of mystery. You think he's going to comment to the media? No response.

So, no response from Chicago, James, or Wesley. That makes it hard to analyze the situation. But we did get a response from Calipari.

Coach Cal is committed to Kentucky, and will be the coach there long-term. Or so he says so.

The question is, do you think John Calipari would leave Kentucky for an opportunity to coach LeBron James in the NBA?

Yahoo! Sports writer Adrian Wojnarowski was live on the Jim Rome is Burning show on ESPN today, and claimed that he thinks Calipari would jump at the chance to coach James. He thinks that Calipari will defend his spot at Kentucky and not reach out for other jobs, but if a team were to offer him a mega-deal to coach a team that is going to sign LeBron James, he would undoubtedly take the job.

After all, Calipari said the only job that would make him leave Memphis was a lucrative offer with Kentucky. Is the only job that would make him leave Kentucky that of an even more lucrative deal, in the NBA, with LeBron James as the star?

Only time will tell. The situation may never even get to play itself out, as a team may never be able to guarantee James coming without having a coach in place, and it will never be able to bring Calipari in if LeBron is not coming.

Perhaps we will see something crazy happen like this packaged deal, but more than likely, we will not.

I'm wondering: Would John Calipari leave Kentucky for a job coaching LeBron James in the NBA?

In my opinion, all signs point to YES. He's never been a man of great principles in the past. He's left behind two schools after bringing them to Final Fours amidst recruiting violations, and he bolted without dealing with the turmoil. He never felt remorse for doing so, and he probably wouldn't feel any if he left Kentucky.

After all, what could be better than making 40 million dollars coaching LeBron James in the NBA?

We'll see if Calipari proves me wrong, or if he ever needs to.
