I do not actually have a problem with the matchup that was set for the Citi BCS National Championship Game between Alabama and Texas. However, another BCS Bowl game’s matchup I do have a problem with, and that would be the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl which will be played on January 4.

The game should be good, and pits two undefeated teams in No. 4 TCU and No. 6 Boise State. I just feel that both of these teams deserve to get their shot against one of the big conference teams that are in the BCS.

Whether that is TCU against Florida in the Sugar Bowl or Boise State against Iowa in the Fiesta, I feel like they would be better matchups and more rewarding for both programs.

TCU and Boise State played just last season in the San Diego County CU Poinsettia Bowl. In that game TCU won 17-16. The fan bases of both teams and the players deserve to have a different opportunity this season, especially since they are undefeated and we really don’t know if one of them is the true number one team in the country.

Was Utah the best team last year? They could have been. They beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl to finish undefeated. They probably could have given Florida a run for their money.

One thing is for sure, one of these two teams will finish the season undefeated and they can hold onto that forever.
