Is it time for the NFL to rotate who plays in the Thanksgiving Day games? Quite frankly, sitting down and watching football on turkey day this year was not as good as it usually is.
The Detroit Lions took on the Green Bay Packers and the game was not interesting because the Lions are one of the worst teams in the NFL. The second game was another mismatch between the Dallas Cowboys and the Oakland Raiders.
The only good matchup was the Thursday night game on the NFL Network between the New York Giants and the Denver Broncos. Unfortunately not everyone gets the NFL Network so this game couldn’t be viewed by everyone. Also it ended up being a clunker of a game as well.
I think it is time that the NFL starts to spread the Thanksgiving games around to other teams. They have done it with the addition of the night game but I don’t see why Detroit and Dallas should play every year.
Yes it would break tradition for two teams fan bases that have been going to Thanksgiving Day football games for years but why shouldn’t other teams get the chance to host games on turkey day.
It’s just an opinion of mine but I know other people out there have similar thoughts.
