Breaking this down into 3 inning segments...out of fear of losing work...
Lee looking stronger as the game goes on...tosses a 9 pitch fourth and gets Garrett Atkins looking to end the inning.
Ryan Howard ALMOST steals a base...but is called out on a close play as the Phillies fail to string together any offense. Jimenez is mixing and matching pitches effectively, getting plenty of ground balls to go with his four strikeouts.
Lee has really settled in as the game begins to fly by as we have reached the middle innings. He has now retired 11 in a row as this one has clearly become a pitchers' duel.
Jayson Werth draws the game's first walk, and gives the Phillies their first leadoff baserunner in the bottom of the fifth. Jimenez now seems to have lost a little control, as the Philly crowd finally starts to make some noise...and now plenty more cheers as Ibanez doubles down the right field line to score Werth. 1-0 Philadelphia. Carlos Ruiz puts up a great at bat, singling to right to send home Ibanez, as the Phillies are suddenly alive and up 2-0. Jimenez seems to have unraveled here. Ruiz gets caught in a run-down which may have cost the Phillies a third run as Rollins adds another hit. The inning finally ends with a rather harmless Victorino fly out to left.
Third time through the batting order for the Rockies..lets see if they can finally crack Lee and get back into this game. Nope...another perfect inning and 14 in a row for the ace.
