The St. Louis Blues have signed former Red Wings goaltender Ty Conklin to a 2-year deal worth $1.3 million per season.

This is a great sign for St. Louis who has struggled with goaltending in the past. Conklin now has a shot to prove himself as the #1 guy.

I hoped that Conklin would be one of the guys who would re-sign with the Wings. He is a great goaltender and seems like a class act. It will be nice to see him get a shot as a #1 and I hope him all the best, until St. Louis plays Detroit of course.
