Unexpected but true. Jeff Jordan decided to leave the University of Illinois basketball team today to focus on his academic future.

I'm not gonna miss him though. Maybe he finally realized that he was not as good as the media made him seem, or maybe he figured out that his little brother had a better future in the sport, or maybe, just maybe, he didn't want to go through life living off name recognition. Sure it was a tough decision, especially considering Michael's story at UNC and his early years on the team, but it was probably the right one. The Jordan name can only get so far when you're a sub-par player. I wish him the best, and he made the right decision.
