Well, well, well. Here we go.
After last year's somewhat of a series, I'm excited for this one.
I have predicted the playoffs perfectly, minus the large blunders that are San Jose and Boston.
Detroit is solid. With Lidstrom and Datysuk healthy, it will be tough for the Penguins to get by them.
Malkin hasn't gone missing this postseason, so he will play a large factor for the Penguins. He leads the team in assists, points and shots on goal. Detroit has three different people topping those categories.
I think Pittsburgh won't have that first-time feeling about them and go scoreless in the first two games. Last year, those first two scoreless games KILLED Pittsburgh. It was a tough hole to dig themselves out of. I would have done the same thing if I was twenty and in the Stanley cup playoffs, unable to leagally drink out of the Cup if my team won it.
The back-to-back first two games go against the Wings. Pittsburgh has youth and with that comes the ability to recover faster.
Prediction: Penguins in six
